Mitchell Holdings' The Riverview at 183 Columbia Heights launches condo sales

Brooklyn, NY - 2013-11-26

In Brooklyn Heights' historic district, set along one of the neighborhood's most coveted streets, with views of the New York Harbor, lower Manhattan and The Statue of Liberty, The Riverview at 183 Columbia Heights has launched condominium sales, offering seven residences.

Originally built in 1899, the seven-story luxury apartment building was acquired in 2012 by developer David Mitchell, founder of Mitchell Holdings, LLC, who has completely renovated and expertly restored the building.

"I'm very proud of what we accomplished in the restoration of The Riverview at 183 Columbia Heights," said David Mitchell, founder of Mitchell Holdings, LLC. "In the world of glass and steel in new construction, this building is rare and unique in its history and in its Old World sense of luxury and sophistication. Aesthetically, it's as though nothing has changed since 1899, though of course everything has changed in terms of modern comforts and conveniences. This residence represents the best of both worlds, old and new."

Floors two through seven are full-floor residences and will offer 1,727 s/f, while the first floor will be a maisonette offering 1,993 s/f and exterior space. All homes will feature three-bedrooms and two-and-a-half-baths. What's more, each residence will have a large private locked storage room that is climate controlled in the building.

"The Riverview at 183 Columbia Heights is quintessentially Brooklyn Heights. It speaks to the neighborhood's elegant character and historic past," said Gregory Williamson, of Douglas Elliman who is handling marketing and sales along with Rob Gross and Jamie Mitchell.

A key locked entry elevator services each residence, and all homes feature wide plank oak flooring throughout. Gourmet kitchens have Arclinea custom kitchen cabinets and Ceasarstone polished kitchen countertops. Top of the line appliances include Viking stainless steel refrigerators, Smeg 30" gas range stoves with steel finishes, Miele built-in hoods and dishwashers, Elkay undermount sinks and KWC single lever kitchen mixers with pull down sprays. Bathrooms are adorned with Italian marble floors and each residence features LG washers/dryers.

"Currently there exists incredibly low inventory of new condos, especially of this caliber, in the neighborhood, which is a highly sought-after, super prime location near to some of the city's best schools, cultural institutions, restaurants and shopping," added Gross. "These homes are going to be in very high demand."

Additionally, the building is serviced by a 24/7 Virtual Doorman with secure delivery cabinet.
